My Review:
With its cute, cozy design, Reach Out, Gather In just begs to be picked up off the shelf. And inside, Karen Ehman is full of encouragement for how to make you, and your home, a resting place for others.
The author is passionate about her subject because she's been there. As a young woman, she was welcomed into an older mentor's home, and as a mom, she welcomed all who crossed over her home's threshold. Therefore, her book is a genuine and helpful resource for all women to read. While the author doesn't get too deep or philosophical in her writing, she does challenge you to change your way of thinking, and the chapters are short and concise, perfect for busy women who don't have a whole lot of time to read. And I loved the recipes included sporadically throughout the book.
