About:
Whether it's the criticism of others, the clamor of injustice, or the voice of anxiety from within, we are constantly being bombarded with noise.
So what does it mean to find peace in the midst of all the noise? Is there a way to acknowledge the struggles we face and learn how to manage the stressors and voices that trigger us while believing in the promises and goodness of God?
Jamie Grace has lived in the middle of noise for most of her life. Many know her as a singer with radio hits who has spent the last decade on stages and in front of the camera, but behind the scenes, she has struggled with Tourette Syndrome, ADHD, and an anxiety disorder for most of her life. But in the middle of both inner and outer noise, Jamie has learned how to manage the negative effects of her diagnoses, make the most of her strengths, and lean into the journey God has led her on.
A journey of Finding Quiet.

My Review:
I've been a fan of Jamie Grace since she first came out with "Hold Me." As a young teenager, I admired her and followed her singing journey, although in recent years I haven't been keeping up with her like I used to. So I was excited to read and review Jamie's first book, Finding Quiet.

Jamie is very honest and open about her struggles. She has a hard time letting go, and just settling down to find quiet, which I think is very relatable. She's an encouragement, because it's only until you're honest about your struggles that you can begin to confront them, and there's a lot to learn from her in Finding Quiet.
Jamie talks here about loving gymnastics at a young age, until Tourette Syndrome got in the way, and how she moved on to a new dream. Movie nights made special by dad. Writing songs and putting her heart in the lyrics. Unplugging and learning to love quiet. She pours out her heart into the words she writes, and you can tell it's her hope and prayer that others will read and be encouraged by her struggles and accomplishments.
I'd definitely recommend this book to a long-time fan of Jamie Grace, or just to anyone who wants encouraged on how to let go and seek God in the quiet.
I voluntarily received this book from the publisher in order to write an honest review. All opinions are truly my own.
