About:
In the fine tradition established by her Southern grandmama, Aurora Daughtry has recently orchestrated the marriage of her eldest sister and facilitated her middle sister’s engagement. Just when it seems there is nothing left to absorb her considerable talent for managing people, in walks federal deputy marshal Zane Sager.
But Zane is not at Daughtry House for a vacation. He’s tracking a killer and collecting two key witnesses to a federal judge’s murder.
Aurora takes it upon herself to disabuse the cynical lawman of his conviction that the world—and God in particular—is out to get him. But just as she’s on the verge of cracking Zane’s defenses, the man he is after reminds him that no one he loves is safe. Ever.

My Review:
Beth White takes you deep into the south to meet the unique and feisty Daughtery sisters, and it's quite the visit. There are bad guys and shootings and explosions and, in the midst of it all, some good, old-fashioned romance. The plot is a bit intricate, so better read the books about Selah and Joelle (the older two sisters) first- I'm saying this from experience.
Aurora is the typical little sister, and it was fun to see inside her head. She is privileged, feisty and brilliant, while on the other hand, Zane is tough, scarred, and used to being alone. However, he also has his softer side and it was fun to see Aurora bring it out of him- I loved watching their story unfold!
The rest of the sisters are brilliant as well, and the bond they share is really sweet. Sometimes the love interests just tend to show up and take away from that sisterhood, but Beth White carefully grafted the guys into her novel so that Schuyler and Levi feel like Aurora's adopted brothers.
I've read some of the author's previous books, and was reluctant to read this one since I wasn't a huge fan of those. They were well-written, but had a lot of historical details that seemed to bog down the story. I was surprised when I read A Reckless Love because it's not like that. The plot moves along well, and the excitement and intrigue quickly drew me in.
I voluntarily received this book from the publisher in order to write an honest review. All opinions are truly my own.
