I'm a sucker for anything Roseanna M. White's been writing lately. Whenever I finally get whatever book she's just crafted, I can often be found picking it up at random moments, flipping through it, and lovingly giving the cover several pats. She's basically the author at the top of my watchlist when it comes to cover reveals, giveaways, book news, and so forth. I can't help it- her stuff is just so good. 
I love how she destroys the typical book-plot stereotypes that get on my nerves, and turns the plot into something more believable. And with her latest release, it's no surprise that On Wings of Devotion embodies everything I love about this author!

Arabelle Denler is an heiress who's fallen in love with nursing. She loves helping people and bringing them healing- and that's where Phillip Camden comes in. Accused of killing his squadron, he's fighting the demons of guilt and shame that have followed him to London. Ara's tender heart is touched by his story, and she longs to show him that he doesn't have to be broken.
This girl is a hero to me. Book characters can usually feel pretty intimidating because they're so extraordinary- it's easy to see why the book's about them, or why the male hero finds them so desirable. Ara's different- she's just plain ordinary. There's really nothing special about her, you might say, despite the fact that she's an heiress. And while everyone agrees that her looks are pretty common and plain, it doesn't bother her. Or rather, it does, a little- but she doesn't let it. She's more focused on helping others find healing, and that makes her truly beautiful.
Camden is a bit more remarkable to the world around him, but still very relatable to me. He and Ara jointly created memorable scenes that were so heartfelt and fun to read. They're adorable together!

I loved Ara and Cam's tale of intrigue and danger. Even the "slower" moments (such as random conversations) held my attention, and all led up to a riveting climax that had me reading longer than I should have!

Altogether, this story is beautifully crafted, and within all the adventure and danger is a story of true beauty, self-worth, hope, and healing that I couldn't get enough of. Roseanna M. White has blown my mind again!
